A 30 year old condo in Ocean City gets a modern update. The kitchen as already open to the living and entertainment area but oak cabinets were dated and the location of refrigerator made opening the frig’s french doors difficult. The door next to refrigerator led to powder room, which we wanted to avoid moving.
The frig was moved to the wall next to powder room, taking space of former pantry closet and coat closet. The cabinet next to frig is actually a cleverly disguised deep coat closet, extending 42″ deep with room for coats, umbrellas and even beach supplies.
New, larger pantry with roll-out trays fits into the old refrigerator slot, with room for a dishwasher between pantry and sink. New appliances and glass back splash finish off the new look.
